Branding identity for a concept board-sport lifestyle company inspired by my upbringing as a skateboarder. Axedo is a personal ongoing project of mine which encapsulates my early days of skating everyday with my friends, growing up into surfing and snowboarding. Axedo literally means “board” or “plank” in Latin, which is the basis for everything we do as board-sport enthusiasts.
Providence Performing Arts Center
Concept identity rebranding for the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island. Collateral includes a logo, a 14 page event brochure, postcards, stationery and lamp post banners. The idea behind the logo was to make a simplified version of the main auditorium's overhead oculus.
Concept branding identity for 2024 Summer Olympics in San Diego. Includes logo, two different ad campaigns and a billboard design. The concept for the logo derives from an abstraction of the San Diego coastline. The elements were meant to feel fluid and convey a sense of movement alluding to the inherence of water and competition within the games.
Crooze Bicycle Share
Concept branding for an inter-campus bicycle sharing program for students to commute to, from, and around school. Includes logo identity, branding guidelines, stationery, and a mobile app. The idea behind the logo was to visualize a simplistic looking bike while incorporating the "share" symbol within it. It is also a modular logo so application can range from the full word mark to just an icon. The mobile app is meant to facilitate the checking in and out of bikes from designated stations and allow patrons to easily pay for bikes each time they are checked out.
Charles Custom Marinade
Identity branding for a client's custom marinade business. Logo was meant to convey a rich visual sense of the ingredients and taste of the overall product. Brand assets include the logo, business card, brochure, hang tag, and the jar labels.
Typographic lockup commemorating Jamaica's 52nd Anniversary of their Independence. Utilizes national colors and visually alludes to the flags overall design through abstracted shape and form. Application of the graphic shows an outdoor venue sign, as well as a t-shirt design
Typographic poster design utilizing dissected type as a means to create a new unified composition. The stark contrast of the shadowed areas serve as visual anchor points for the type, helping to create a more dynamic composition. This interplay between the black shadowed foreground and the lighter background ties the whole composition together while maintaining harmonious contrast.
Infographic depicting specific aspects of advertising during 2013 including most advertised, distribution medium, expenditures, and revenue by medium. Color coded and separated by specific shapes and broken down into four different sub categories. All statistics were obtained from Statista.
Custom geometric typeface called "Evoliti", which is a word combination of evolution + graffiti. The typeface is meant to embody the strokes of a chisel tip marker but with a more modern, geometric feel. It features sharp angles, tapered serifs, and rounded counters for a blend of an organic and graphic look.
Carbon Public Relations
Identity branding for a small public relations business. Client's business model was geared towards helping single mothers expand their own startup companies. The concept behind this logo was to visualize carbon as a simplified, interconnecting molecule. The overall tone is meant to be friendly/organic yet strong and confident. The color palette was based on a triad of aqua, carbon grey, and yellow. The typeface used is a rounded sans-serif called Linotte regular, from the Linotte font family.
UI design for the International Design Network publication (IdN). The interactive screens consist of one cover page, a two-page main article, and another one-page article. The UI is meant to emulate the bold shapes, colors and asymmetric layouts of the magazine's distinct look and feel. The focus of this issue was "Shape and Pattern", so the UI was meant to complement the aesthetic while retaining the intuitive navigation between pages.
Concept geofilter design for the Annenberg Space for Photography. The graphic is a simplified camera shutter executed in a mono-line style. Custom hand-lettering occupies the center space at an angle to match the diagonal lines of the shutter. The design was meant to reinforce the aspect of photography and personality through the custom hand lettering and a simple unifying graphic.
